David Ponce had a hat trick and an assist and Jordan Gafa, Andrew Riemer and Philip Da Silva each added a goal as the host Orange County Blue Star ended their 2011 USL Premier Development League season with a 6-3 home finale victory Sunday at Concordia University over the Los Angeles Legends.
The Blue Star ended their season at 9-5-2 with 29 points and is third in the Western Conference's Southwest Division, earning a playoff berth.
Victor Raygoza had a goal and an assist for the Legends and Angel Gonzalez and Juan Garcia scored goals as they remain the worst team in the division and the league at 1-12-1 with four points.
The Legends play their final road game of the season Saturday against the Ventura County Fusion at Ventura College before playing their home finale Sunday against the Fresno Fuego at Caroline Coleman Stadium.
