Brandon Massie scored an unassisted 81st minute goal and Colin Falvey connectd with Dane Kelly on a 90th minute play as the host Charleston Battery edged the Wilmington Hammerheads 2-1 Thursday in a USL PRO American Division contest at Blackbaud Stadium.
Wilmington took a 1-0 lead in the 76th minute when Chris Spendlove assisted on Manny Guzman's goal.
The Battery is in third place in the division at 9-6-4 with 31 points. Charleston next hosts the Rochester Rhinos July 30.
Wilmington is now 8-5-3 with 27 points and in fourth place. They will host the Harrisburg City Islanders Saturday at Legion Stadium in Wilmington, NC.
