Etienne Barbara scored the game's lone goal unassisted in the eighth minute as the North American Soccer League's best team, the Carolina RailHawks, shut out the Atlanta Silverbacks 1-0 in a game called in the 50th minute by the officiating crew due to severe weather moving over WakeMed Soccer Park in Cary, NC Saturday.
The RailHawks improved their league-best record to 14-2-2 with 44 points and will face the Fort Lauderdale Strikers at Lockhart Stadium next Saturday.
Atlanta, at 3-12-3 with 12 points and tied with the Montreal Impact (2-9-6) for the league's worst team, will host FC Tampa Bay next Saturday.
