The Chicago Fire played to their 12th draw this Major League Soccer season Saturday 1-1 against Chivas USA at The Home Depot Center in Carson, CA.
The Fire are three draws away from breaking the league record for most draws in a season, set by FC Dallas with 14, and have extended their current unbeaten streak to eight games.
Dominiv Oduro scored for the Fire in the 26th minute off a Patrick Nyarko assist, but Chivas tied the game in the 46th minute when Michael Lahoud connected with Nick LaBrocca.
Chicago, 2-4-12 with 18 points, is tied for sixth place in the Eastern Conference standings with Toronto FC (3-7-9) and faces the Los Angeles Galaxy in the next SuperClasico meeting next Saturday.
Chivas, 4-7-6 with 18 points and tied with the Portland Timbers (5-7-3) for seventh place in the Western Conference, hosts the San Jose Earthquakes Wednesday.
