Major League Soccer president Mark Abbott told MLSSoccer.com Thursday the league has been in contact with Zigi Wilf, owner of the NFL’s Minnesota Vikings, about his desire to bring top-level professional soccer to the Twin Cities.

Wilf announced at a press conference Tuesday the Vikings has been given the blessing of several local municipalities to begin construction of a new retractable roof stadium in Arden Hills that will open in 2015.
