Timbers U-23s Chop Down SeaWolves

Bim Ogunyemi had a 22nd minute goal off Travis Bowen and Tracy Hasson assisted Miles Byass in the 49th minute as the defending USL Premier Development League champion Portland Timbers U-23s shut out the expansion North Sound SeaWolves of Everett, WA 2-0 Wednesday at JELD-WEN Field.

The Timbers U-23s, who went the entire 2010 season without a loss, are 2-1-1 this season with seven points and are in second in the Western Conference's Northwest Division, four points behind the Kitsap Pumas (3-0-1, 10) for the divisional lead. They will host the winless Tacoma Tide (0-0-2, two) Sunday.

North Sound, in its inaugural season, is 0-1-2 with two points and is tied for fifth in the division with the Tide and the Washington Crossfire (0-2-2). The SeaWolves host the Pumas Sunday.
