Timbers Forward Richards Named USL PDL Player Of The Week For Week 3

Portland Timbers U-23 forward Brent Richards, who scored the third hat trick in team history in Sunday's 6-0 rout of the Washington Crossfire, was named the USL Premier Development League's Player of the Week Thursday for Week 3 of the 2011 season.

Richards was the league's Most Valuable Player in 2010 as the Timbers went through the season -- regular season and playoffs -- undefeated for the first time in league history.
