Tide Re-signs Pirotte, Armitage; Signs Richey, Beasley To Deals

The Tacoma Tide of the USL Premier Development League announced the re-signing of defenders Steve Pirotte and Tony Armitage and the additions to the roster of goalkeeper Spencer Richey and forward Quinton Beasley.

Pirotte played over 1,000 minutes for the Tide in his rookie season of 2010. He began playing at Mount Rainier High School, then went on to Highlands Community College before ending his collegiate career at Concordia University in Portland, OR.

Armitage played 10 games for Tacoma in 2010. Now a junior at St. Martin's University in Lacey, WA, he played every game for the Saints in 2010.

Richey, who started 10 games for the University of Washington last season, had a goals against average of 1.00 and was part of a three-man rotation at the position.

Beasley was voted the Most Improved Player during his sophomore season of 2010 at Washington.

The Tide open their home and 2011 season this Friday against the expansion North Sound Seawolves.
