Sounders End RSL's Home Winning Streak

The Seattle Sounders ended Real Salt Lake's dominance at home at 29 games as Patrick Ianni and Lamar Neagle had second half goals to defeat them 2-1 Saturday in Major League Soccer play at Sandy, UT's Rio Tinto Stadium.

Ianni was assisted by Fredy Montero and Nate Jaqua in the 71st minute and Tyson Wahl worked with Neagle in the 84th minute.

RSL's lone goal came four minutes later as Luis Gil teamed with Nelson Gonzales.

Seattle, at 4-4-5 with 17 points, is now in a tie for third place in the Western Conference with RSL (5-1-2), the defending league champion Colorado Rapids (4-3-5) and the expansion Portland Timbers (5-3-2).

The Sounders are at the Chicago Fire next Saturday while RSL looks to begin a new home winning streak the same day against the Vancouver Whitecaps.
