Sporting Kansas City announced Wednesday they will host the New England Revolution May 25 at Blue Valley District Activities Complex in Overland Park, KS in one of the two Major League Soccer play-in qualification final matches to make the field for the 2011 Lamar Hunt US Open Cup tournament.
The winner of this game joins the winner of the Chicago Fire-San Jose Earthquakes game as one of two at-large teams that will join eight already selected MLS franchises that will earn byes into the third rounf of the tournament, which begins June 28.
