Abdulwali Amar and Vini Oliveira scored goals in the 67th and 73rd minute, respectively, as the expansion North Sound Seawolves, based in Everett, WA, beat the Victoria Highlanders 2-1 in a USL Premier Development League preseason game Sunday at Bear Mountain Stadium in Victoria, British Columbia.
Tyler Hughes had Victoria's lone goal in the 11th minute on a header off a pass from Steve Scott.
The Seawolves open their debut season in USL PDL Saturday at Goddard Memorial Stadium Saturday against the Washington Crossfire, while the Highlanders travel this weekend to face the Portland Timbers U23s Saturday and the Kitsap Pumas Sunday.
