Jeremy Deighton scored a second minute goal off a Tommy Gray assist and Matt Foudy had an unassisted goal in the 48th minute as the host Pittsburgh Riverhounds shut out FC New York 2-0 in USL PRO play at Chartiers Valley High School.
The Riverhounds are 2-3-2 with eight points for third place in the National Division, three points behind the Rochester Rhinos (3-3-1, 10) for second place. Pittsburgh hosts the LA Blues this Sunday.
FC New York is 1-4-2 with five points and are tied for fourth place in the same division with the Harrisburg City Islanders (1-1-2). They will face the league- and division-leading Richmond Kickers next Saturday.
