Randolph Scores Goal, Assists On Game Winner For Blues Over Eagles

In their first game as a new member of USL PRO's National Division, Michael Randolph had an unassisted sixth minute goal and worked with Cesar Rivera on a game-winning goal by Chukwudi Chijindu in the 88th minute as the Los Angeles Blues edged the Charlotte Eagles 2-1 Thursday at Centennial High School in Corona, CA.

The Blues were moved to the National Division after USL PRO abolished the former International Division following the expulsion of three teams from the Puerto Rico Soccer League -- Puerto Rico United, River Plate Puerto Rico and Sevilla FC Puerto Rico -- due to their combined failure to meet league standards.

Darren Toby tied the game at 1-1 in the 83rd minute off an assist from Jorge Herrera.

Los Angeles, leader of the National Division at 4-1-1 with 13 points, and Charlotte, 0-4-1 with a point and in last place in the American Division, will meet again this Saturday at Titan Stadium at Cal State Fullerton.
