Pumas Tackle The Tide

Matt Friesen scored two goals and Robby Christner added a goal and assisted on David Gray's goal as the Kitsap Pumas defeated the host Tacoma Tide 6-1 Friday in USL Premier Development League play at Stadium High School.

Chris Andre and Warren Silva also tallied goals for the Pumas, who lead the Western Conference's Northwest Division at 4-0-1 with 13 points and will travel to the expansion North Sound SeaWolves next Sunday.

Tacoma's lone goal came in the 18th minute as Chase Tangney connected with Quinton Beasley. The Tide are 0-1-2 with two points and are tied with SeaWolves (same record) and the Washington Crossfire (0-2-2) for fifth place in the division. The Tide faces the defending league champion Portland Timbers U-23s on the road Sunday.
