Kyle Porter scored both of his team's goals off rebounds as FC Edmonton edged the NSC Minnesota Stars 2-1 in North American Soccer League play Monday from Edmonton's Foote Field, ending the Stars' four-game unbeaten streak.
Simone Bracalello opened the scoring for the Stars, now 3-2-3 with 12 points and in third place in the league standings, eight points behind the Carolina RailHawks (6-1-1, 19) for first place. NSC will host FC Tampa Bay Saturday at the National Sports Center in Blaine, MN.
FC Edmonton is 4-2-1 with 13 points and is in second place, seven points behind Carolina, and will host Tampa Bay next Tuesday.
