Nor'Easters Force Rally To Cause Draw After Detelj Goals For Rough Riders

Dwayne Dove had an unassisted goal in the 68th minute and Jack Bailey scored off a Kevin Curran pass in second-half stoppage time as the host Ocean City Nor'Easters fought off back-to-back goals by Keith Detelj to force a 2-2 draw Sunday in USL Premier Development League play at Carey Stadium in Ocean City, NJ.

Detelj scored on his own in the 35th minute, then quickly fired a second goal off with help from Alexander Naples a minute later.

The draw ended a three-game losing streak for Ocean City, now 0-3-1 with a point and in sixth place in the Eastern Conference's Mid-Atlantic Division. The Nor'Easters next face the Bermuda Hogges on the road this Saturday.

The Rough Riders, despite earning only a point, are in second place in the division at 4-0-1 and 13 points, three behind Reading United AC (5-0-0, 15) for first place. Lon Island hosts the Westchester Flames Saturday.
