Lamar Neagle had an unassisted goal in the 44th minute, then assisted Pat Noonan on his 57th minute strike as the Seattle Sounders edged the Portland Timbers 3-2 Sunday in Major League Soccer Reserve Division play at the Starfire Sports Complex in Tukwila, WA.
Michael Tetteh also scored for Seattle in the 74th minute off a Roger Levesque assist.
Portland saw Rodrigo Lopez assists David Horst on a 68th minute goal to tie the game at 1-1 and Bim Ogunyemi had a goal in second-half stoppage time.
Both teams will meet again May 30 at JELD-WEN Field in Portland.
