Chris Banks assisted on Andriy Budnyy's goal in the 15th minute, then, four minutes later, scored the game-winning goal unassisted as the host Wilmington Hammerheads beat FC New York 3-1 in USL PRO play at Legion Stadium in Wilmington, NC.
Graciano Brito evened the score at 1-1 in the 17th minute for FC New York, but Jyler Noviello cemented the win for Wilmington with a last-minute insurance goal in the 90th minute.
The Hammerheads are now 3-1-0 with nine points and in fifth place in the American Division. They will host the Charleston Battery this Saturday.
FC New York is 1-3-2 with five points and are tied for third in the National Division with the Pittsburgh Riverhounds (same record), who they play on the road this Saturday, and the Harrisburg City Islanders (1-1-2).
