Matt Friesen's 28th minute unassisted goal gave the Kitsap Pumas a 1-0 win Sunday over the host North Sound SeaWolves in USL Premier Development League play at Goddard Memorial Stadium.
The Pumas, leader of the Western Conference's Northwest Division, share the best record in the PDL with the Southwest Division's Ventura County Fusion at 5-0-1 with 16 points. Kitsap will take on the defending league champion Portland Timbers U-23s on the road Friday.
The expansion SeaWolves are 0-2-2 with two points and are tied for fifth with the Tacoma Tide and Washington Crossfire, who share the same record. North Sound faces the last-place Abbotsford Mariners on the road Saturday.
