FC Tampa Bay Shuts Out Impact

FC Tampa Bay made an impact on the Montreal Impact as they shut them out 3-0 in North American Soccer League action Saturday at Al Lang Stadium in St. Petersburg, FL.

Warren Ukah scored the lone goal of the first half in the 40th minute off a David Hayes assist, Mike Ambersley converted a penalty kick in the 74th minute, and Chad Burt assisted Tsuyoshi Yoshitake on an 84th minute goal in the victory.

FC Tampa Bay is now in fifth place in the league standings ar 2-2-3 with nine points and has two upcoming road games -- against the NSC Minnesota Stars next Saturday and FC Edmonton May 31.

Montreal, joining Major League Soccer next season, is 1-4-1 with four points and is in seventh place. They travel to the Fort Lauderdale Strikers next Saturday.
