FC New York Accepts Weston's Resignation; Names Shaw Player/Head Coach

FC New York of USL PRO announced Monday they have accepted the resignation of Matt Weston as their head coach after seven games and named current player/assistant coach Paul Shaw as player/head coach, effective immediately.

FC New York is currently 1-4-2 with five points and tied with the Harrisburg City Islanders (1-2-2) for fourth place in the National Division. The team won their first game as a franchise May 13 in a 1-0 victory at Blackbaud Stadium over the Charleston Battery.

FC New York will travel to the Richmond Kickers this Saturday, then head back to Belson Stadium at St. John's University for a Memorial Day game against the Rochester Rhinos.
