FC Dallas Waives Defender Kyle Davies

Major League Soccer's FC Dallas announced Thursday they waived defender Kyle Davies.

Davies fractured his right arm in the 55th minute of the team's 2010 season opener, then, after undergoing surgery and rehabilitation, returned September 11 to play 21 minutes in a scoreless draw against the San Jose Earthquakes, allowing Dallas to extend its road game unbeaten streak to 11 games.

Three games later, Davies played the full 90 minutes of a 3-1 win at the Kansas City Wizards (now Sporting Kansas City), which extended Dallas' road unbeaten streak to 12 games, but played little for them after that.

He was traded to FC Dallas in April 2009 by Real Salt Lake in return for a 2010 second round MLS SuperDraft pick and debuted for Dallas in a 3-1 loss to the Houston Dynamo June 13, 2009.

Davies was the captain of the 2009 US U-20 team that competed in the FIFA World Cup in Egypt.
