Estupinan Brace Gives Chivas Victory Over Galaxy In Reserve Division Play

Victor Estupinan scored two goals in a five-minute stretch of the first half as host Chivas USA defeated the Los Angeles Galaxy 3-1 in a Major League Soccer Reserve Division contest Tuesday at The Home Depot Center in Carson, CA, which serves as the home pitch for both teams.

Estupinan scored off a Gerson Mayen assist in the 31st minute, then, after Los Angeles' Hector Jimemez tied the game with a strike off an Adam Cristman pass four minutes later, he got help from Francisco Mendoza on the game-wnning goal in the 36th minute.

Mayen would later assist Chris Cortez on an insurance goal in the 63rd minute.

Chivas will next face the Seattle Sounders at Starfire Sports Complex in Tukwila, WA this Monday, while the Galaxy won't play again until June 6 when they face the San Jose Earthquakes June 6 at the Nutrilite Training Center in Santa Clara, CA.
