Earthquakes Rock Revolution At Buck Shaw Stadium

Ellis McLaughlin scored off a Chris Wondolowski assist in the 71st minute and Bobby Convey had an unassisted goal in the 83rd minute as the host San Jose Earthquakes beat the New England Revolution 2-1 in Major League Soccer play Saturday at Buck Shaw Stadium in Santa Clara, CA.

Chris Tierney avoided New England being shut out by scoring an unassisted goal in the 86th minute.

The Earthquakes are 3-4-3 with 12 points and tied with Chivas USA (same record) for seventh place in the Western Conference table. San Jose will face the Chicago Fire Saturday at Toyota Park in Bridgeview, IL.

New England, who hosts the best team in MLS in the Los Angeles Galaxy next Saturday, are 3-4-4 with 13 points and tied with the Columbus Crew (3-2-4) for fourth place in the Eastern Conference standings.
