John Sosa assisted Andrew Coudy on goals in the 14th and 24th minute as the visiting Des Moines Menace shut out the Springfield Demize 3-0 in USL Premier Development League action Tuesday from the Cooper Sports Complex in Springfield, MO.
Jubril Lawal assisted Deshorn Brown on a goal in the 46th minute off the win.
The Menace, 1-1-0 with three points in the Central Conference's Heartland Division standings, are in second place in the conference table. Des Moines will host the St. Louis Lions Saturday.
The Demize became winless in their first start of the 2011 season and are tied for last place in the division with the Lions (same record) and the Kansas City Brass (0-2-0). Springfield hosts the Real Colorado Foxes Saturday.
