Luke Holmes had a 42nd minute unassisted goal and new all-time scoring leader Kenny Uzoigwe assisted on Tom Catalano's 69th minute strike as the host Michigan Bucks shut out the Chicago Fire 2-0 at Ultimate Soccer Arenas in Pontiac, MI Monday in a battle of the top two teams in the USL Premier Development League's Central Conference, Great Lakes Division.
The Fire (3-1-0, nine points) have a three-point lead over the Bucks (2-1-1, seven points) in the standings.
Both teams have home games against expansion teams Friday -- Chicago hosting Hamilton FC Rage, Michigan welcoming the River City Rovers.
