Brito Blast Bright Spot As FC New York Gets First USL PRO Win Over Battery

Graciano Brito scored the game's lone goal in the 35th minute but it was the only one FC New York needed to shut out the Charleston Battery Friday in USL PRO play from Blackbaud Stadium in Charleston, SC.

FC New York, with a record of 1-2-2 with five points, is now tied for third place in the league's National Division with the Pittsburgh Riverhounds (same record), two points behind the Rochester Rhinos (2-3-0, six) for second place in the standings.

Charleston dropped to a 3-3-2 record with 11 points, good for fourth place in the American Division, three points behind Orlando City Soccer Club (4-1-1, 13) for third place.

Both New York and Charleston face the Wilmington Hammerheads at Legion Stadium in Wilmington, NC in their next game -- New York first Saturday, Charleston traveling there next Saturday.
