The North American Soccer League's Player of the Month for April, Etienne Barbara of the Carolina RailHawks, put in an early bid for May honors as he scored goals in the 20th and 76th minute and assisted on Brian Farber's 32nd minute goal as the Carolina RailHawks upset host FC Tampa Bay 3-1 Saturday at Al Lang Stadium in St. Petersburg, FL.
Pascal Millen had Tampa Bay's lone goal in the 23rd minute to tie the score at 1-1.
The RailHawks (3-1-1, 10) are now tied for the league lead with the Puerto Rico Islanders (3-0-1) and will host the Fort Lauderdale Strikers Wednesday at WakeMed Soccer Park in Cary, NC.
Tampa Bay is in sixth place at 1-2-2 with five points and will host FC Edmonton this Wednesday.
