Etienne Barbara, the leading scorer in the North American Soccer League and the league's Player of the Month for April, made a case for another possible win for the month of May as his two goals were all the Carolina RailHawks needed in a 2-1 victory over the host Montreal Impact at Saputo Stadium.
Eric Chergui had Montreal's goal off a Simon Gatti assist n the 77th minute.
The RailHawks lead the league with the best record of 5-1-1 with 16 points and will host the Puerto Rico Islanders next Saturday.
Montreal, meanwhile, is 1-3-1 with four points and in seventh place in the standings. They travel to FC Tampa Bay next Saturday.
