Whitecaps Add Four More Ladies To Roster

The Vancouver Whitecaps of the USL W-League announced the signings Wednesday of defender Malloree Enoch, midfielders Kelsey Hood and Krista Kruse, and forward Alysha Bonnick.

Enoch played the past three seasons at Saint Leo, an NCAA Division II school, and had seven goals and 18 assists for 32 points and started 36 of 28 games. Her best season at Saint Leo came in 2008 when she had four goals and seven assists for 15 points.

Before coming to Saint Leo, Enoch was at Concordia University, a National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics school, where she holds school records for goals in a single season (20), goals in a single game (four), and points in a single season at 53. In 2003, she was the Cascade Conference Player of the Year and an NAIA All-American.

Hood played last season in Nerway for FK Donn of the Toppserien and also played in the USL W-League for the Minnesota Lightning in 2009, scoring two assists over all 12 games she started.

She had five goals and nine assists for 19 points over four seasons at the University of Minnesota, where she started all but one of 82 career games.

In her senior season, she led the Golden Gophers to the regular season Big Ten championship and the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Women's College Cup, their deepest run ever in the postseason. The team also tallied 17 shutouts that season, a conference record, and Hood was named to the Soccer Buzz All-America Second Team and was the conference's Defensive Player of the Year.

Hood also was a two-time conference Second Team selection in 2006 and 2007 and a First Team selection in 2008.

Kruse and Bonnick both come to Vancouver after being teammates at the University of Missouri for four seasons.

Kruse started 52 of 83 games with 13 goals and five assists for 31 points. In 2010, she started every match and was second on the team in minutes played at 1,561 and scoring with 18 points on eight goals and two assists.

In 2009, she started all 21 games and had two goals and three assists and was invited to a training camp with the US U-23 Women's National Team.

Bonnick started 78 of 85 games for the Tigers, scoring 38 goals and 18 assists for 99 career points, and she holds the school record of game-winning goals with 14.

In her final season, she led the team with 21 points on nine goals and three assists, earning a place on the All-Big 12 Conference Second Team.

Bonnick, of North Gower, Ontario, had 11 goals and four assists for 26 points in 2008, and she was named to the Soccer America All-American Fourth Team and the All-Big 12 First Team.

She was the 2007 conference Rookie of the Year with 11 goals and 10 assists.

Bonnick also has appeared in two games for Canada's senior Women's National Team.
