White Gets Goal, Assists On Game Winner As Sounders Beat Fire For First Win Of 2011

O'Brien White scored a goal in the seventh minute off an assist from Mauro Rosales, then assisted Steve Zakuani on the game-winning goal in the 25th minute as the Seattle Sounders won their first Major League Soccer game of 2011 2-1 over the Chicago Fire at Xbox Pitch at Qwest Field Saturday.

The Sounders (1-2-2, five points) are tied with the Vancouver Whitecaps (1-1-2) for fourth place in the Western Conference. Seattle travels next Saturday to PPL Park to face the Philadelphia Union.

Chicago is currently in a four-way for third place in the Eastern Conference with Sporting Kansas City, Toronto FC and the Columbus Crew, all sporting records of 1-1-1 with four points, with only Toronto playing Saturday at the San Jose Earthquakes. The Fire's next game is this Thursday as the expansion Portland Timbers play their first win in newly-renamed JELD-WEN Field, formerly PGE Park.
