Timbers Reserves Cut Through Galaxy At THDC

Spencer Thompson scored goals in the 39th and 89th minute and Kevin Goldthwaite added a 48th minute strike as the Portland Timbers defeated the Los Angeles Galaxy 3-1 Sunday in a Major League Soccer Reserve Division contest at the track and field stadium at The Home Depot Center in Carson, CA.

Former Galaxy player Bryan Jordan had the Galaxy's lone goal on a 29th minute penalty kick.

The Timbers will next face the Seattle Sounders May 15 at the Starfire Sports Complex in Tukwila, WA.

Los Angeles will meet Chivas USA May 3 at The Home Depot Center, a stadium both call home.
