Strikers Tie Stars, But NSC Leads NASL Standings

The host Fort Lauderdale Strikers got a late penalty kick goal from Eduardo Coudet and played the visiting NSC Minnesota Stars to a 1-1 draw Friday in North American Soccer League play at Lockhart Stadium in Fort Lauderdale, FL.

NSC opened the scoring off a Devin Del Do goal in the 61st minute.

Despite the tie, the Stars lead the NASL standings with a 1-0-1 record and four points and will travel to the Puerto Rico Islanders April 26 at Juan Ramon Loubriel Stadium.

Fort Lauderdale, at 0-1-1 with a point, is fifth in the standings and face the Atlanta Silverbacks next Saturday at Silverbacks Park.
