Strikers Boost Roster With Peguero, Granado

The Fort Lauderdale Strikers of the North American Soccer League boosted their roster Thursday by signing forward Jean Phillipe Peguero and midfielder Yoximar Granado.

Peguero began his career in 2002 with Don Bosco in Haiti before spending two seasons in Major League Soccer with the Colorado Rapids. In 2006, he moved to the New York Red Bulls for one season, then headed to Brondby IF in the Danish Superliga for two seasons.

In 19 games with Haiti's national team, Peguero has scored 13 goals.

Granado, from Cali, Colombia, has played for CDEF Caros Sarmiento Lara, Quilmes of Argentina's first division, and the Chicago Fire of Major League Soccer.

The Strikers host the NSC Minnesota Stars this Friday at Lockhart Stadium.
