A last-minute strike by Andrei Gotsmanov gave the NSC Minnesota Stars a 2-1 victory over the host Atlanta Silverbacks Saturday in both teams' debut in the North American Soccer League from Atlanta Silverbacks Park.
After a scoreless 45 minutes, Kentaro Takada put the Stars on the scoreboard in the 57th minute, but the Silverbacks leveled the game when Mario Perez assisted Matt Horth on a 69th minute goal.
The Stars will face the Fort Lauderdale Strikers next Saturday at Lockhart Stadium, while the Silverbacks leave the welcome mat out next week for FC Edmonton.
