Sounders, Union Share Point At PPL Park

Fredy Montero's assist on an Alvaro Fernandez goal in second half stoppage time was enought to force a 1-1 draw between the Seattle Sounders and the Philadelphia Union in Major League Soccer play Saturday at PPL Park in Chester, PA.

Carlos Ruiz opened the scoring for the Union with an unassisted 32nd minute goal.

Philadelphia retains the best record in the Eastern Conference at 3-1-1 with 10 points and hosts the San Jose Earthquakes April 30.

Seattle is 1-2-3 with six points and is tied for fourth place with the Vancouver Whitecaps in the Western Conference standings. The Sounders travel to the defending league champion Colorado Rapids this Friday.
