The Atlanta Silverbacks of the North American Soccer League announced the signings of midfielder Raphael Cox and defender Josh Casarona Wednesday.
Cox played the 2010 season for the Tacoma Tide in the USL Premier Development League after speding the 2009 season with then-Major League Soccer champion Real Salt Lake, scoring one goal in six games, with that coming in a game against the Columbus Crew.
In three seasons at the University of Washington, he had 14 goals and 17 assists and was named twice to an All-Pac 10 Conference team, including the first team after his senior season.
Casarona has played the last two season throughout Argentina and was also on the US U-20 Olympic Development Program Region 3 team that played in England against several reserve programs of English Premier League teams.
