RSL, Union Agree To Move Game So RSL Can Win CCL

In a spirit of camaraderie by supporting the efforts of a fellow franchise to bring a major honor home to the league, Major League Soccer's Philadelphia Union and Real Salt Lake agreed Thursday to reschedule their game next Saturday at Rio Tinto Stadium in Sandy, UT until September 3 at the same location to give RSL adequate time to rest between legs of the 2010-11 CONCACAF Champions League final against Mexico's Monterrey.

The first leg of the two-game series will be this Wednesday in Monterrey with the second game the next Wednesday at Rio Tinto.

Should RSL win the title, they will become the first MLS team to win a CONCACAF-sponsored regional championship since the Los Angeles Galaxy won the 2000 CONCACAF Champions Cup and will earn an automatic berth into the 2011 FIFA Club World Cup December 8-18 in Japan.
