Portland Timbers goalkeeper Jake Gleeson and Toronto FC forward Javier Martina, whose teams played each other to a 2-0 Toronto victory last Saturday at BMO Field, were named Friday as respective fan-selected winners of Major League Soccer's Save of the Week and AT&T Goal of the Week winners for Week 2 of the 2011 MLS season.
Gleeson, who earned 40 percent of fan's votes to defeat Houston Dynamo's Tally Hall by three precent, came into the game in the second half and, four minutes into it, stopped a shot from Toronto's Maicon Santos.
Martina, who scored both of Toronto's goals in the win, had 34 percent of the votes in his competition to get past Real Salt Lake's Javier Morales, who had 30 percent of the vote.
