The North American Soccer League announced a partnership Thursday with Spanish sportswear company Joma to become the league's official ball supplier and the new ball will be introduced to the league July 4.
Joma, founded in 1965, was ranked in 2010 as the country's leading sportswear company.
The new ball will incorporate white stars on a red background, similar to the ball the original NASL used in 1968, and will feature the dates 1968 and 2011 on the ball.
