The North American Soccer League announced Wednesday forward Josh Hansen of the Puerto Rico Islanders and goalkeeper Joe Warren of the NSC Minnesota Stars have been named the league's first Offensive and Defensive Players of the Week for the 2011 season.
Hansen had a goal and an assist in the Islanders' 2-1 win at WakeMed Soccer Park in Cary, NC over the Carolina RailHawks Saturday in a rematch of the 2010 championship game of the USSF Division 2 Pro League.
Warren had seven saves in a 2-1 victory over the Atlanta Silverbacks at Silverbacks Park.
