The Los Angeles Blues of USL PRO announced Friday they have signed Jamaican forward Akeem Priestley, who will be reunited with another Blues forward, Chukwido Chijindu, from the playing days at the University of Connecticut.
Drafted by the Kansas City Wizards (now Sporting Kansas City) of Major League Soccer in 2009, the franchise would later release him.
In Jamaica, he played for Harbor View, then went to Azerbaijan's Premier League to play for FC Mugham, then headed to Ireland's Shamrock Rovers, where he impressed their coaches.
