Harrisburg Closes Roster With Quartet Of Signings

The Harrisburg City Islanders completed their roster Wednesday for the rest of the 2011 USL PRO season by signing forwards Jose Aguelo, Jordan Seabrook and Andrew Welker, and midfielder Drew Yates.

Aguelo played the 2010 USL Premier Development League season for the Central Jersey Spartans, scoring 10 goals. In 2009, he played one game for the PDL's Newark Ironbound Express, now the Jersey Express.

Seabrook joins Andrew Marshall and Stephen Basso as former members of USL Second Division and USSF Division 2 Pro League team Crystal Palace Baltimore on the City Islanders roster. He was the 51st overall pick of the Colorado Rapids in the 2009 Major League Soccer SuperDraft after having 31 goals and 25 assists in his career at the University of South Florida.

Welker will make his professional soccer debut in 2011 after graduating from Seton Hall, where he started 59 of 64 games and had 15 goals and six assists and was a two-time All-District player as a junior and a senior.

Yates played last season in USSF D-2 for FC Tampa Bay after being drafted 29th overall by the Chicago Fire in the 2010 SuperDraft and undergoing a tryout with MLS' DC United. He will be reunited at Harrisburg with fellow Maryland Terrapins player Jason Herrick. Yates started every game in his career there and had 14 goals and 13 assists.
