Fury Returns Goalkeepers In Heembrock, Fait

The Ottawa Fury of the USL Premier Development League announced Wednesday they have re-signed goalkeepers Brandon Heembrock and Alex Fait for the 2011 season and they will join Jonathan Viscosi, who played last seasons in the PDL with the Albany BWP Highlanders, at the position on the roster.

Heembrock spent the 2008 and 2009 seasons with the PDL's Toronto Lynx and, in 2010, posted a 2-0-1 record with three shutouts and a 0.50 goals against average as the backup to starter Andrew Murphy.

He recently led the NCAA Division II Dominican University Chargers to a conference championship, posting an 11-4-3 record, a 0.80 goals against average and a division-best .874 save percentage.

In 55 games there, he had a record of 34-12-7 with 19 shutouts and allowed 51 goals.

Fait has been the Fury's third string goalkeeper and their starter on the PDL Reserve team.

A former member of Ottawa's youth program, he played collegiately at Sacred Heart University, going 17-11-3 with 11 shutouts and allowing 32 goals in as many career games. In 2010, he led the Pioneers to the first postseason tournament appearance since 2007.

Also an ex-Fury youth program player, Viscosi went 1-2-1 last season with the Highlanders.

He played his freshman season of college soccer for Rio Grande Valley University of the National Association for Intercollegiate Athletics, leading them to a number one national ranking after a 22-1-0 record, 15-0-0 in games Viscosi was in, surrendering nine goals in those games, and being named to the All-Conference Team.

Viscosi has since signed a letter of intent to the University of Buffalo of the NCAA Division I's Mid-American Conference.
