First Timers To Fight For Title At CONCACAF Champions League Finale

Major League Soccer's Real Salt Lake will face Monterrey of Mexico's Primera Division in a battle of first-time entrants in the finale of the 2010-11 CONCACAF Champions League tournament.

RSL, who defeated Deportivo Saprissa Tuesday for a 3-2 aggregate score in their semifinal, was waiting to see who won between Monterrey and fellow Mexican entrant Cruz Azul Wednesday to determine their opponent in a two-game aggregate goal series.

Monterrey won their series Wednesday also by a 3-2 aggregate score, despite playing to a 1-1 draw Wednesday.

Both goals were unassisted -- Cesar Villaluz's in the 23rd minute for Cruz Azul, Humberto Suazo's in the 81st for Monterrey.

Monterrey will host the first game of the two-game championship series April 20, with RSL hosting the second game April 27 at Rio Tinto Stadium.
