Jonathan Fana was assisted by David Foley on a 35th minute goal and newly-signed Gregory Richardson assisted him on a 79th minute point as the Puerto Rico Islanders shut out FC Tampa Bay 2-0 Sunday in North American Soccer League action from Al Lang Stadium in Tampa.
The Islanders, 2-0-0 with six points, are tied with FC Edmonton (same record) for the best record in the NASL and has two upcoming home games -- next Tuesday against the NSC Minnesota Stars and April 29 against the Fort Lauderdale Strikers.
Tampa Bay is 1-1-0 with three points and is tied with the Carolina RailHawks (same record) for fourth place in the table. They will travel this Saturday to meet the Montreal Impact.
