De Rosario Gets First Assist As A Red Bull In 1-1 Tie With Dynamo

Traded unexpectedly Friday by Major League Soccer's Toronto FC, forward Dwayne De Rosario paid his first dividend to his new team, the New York Red Bulls, against the team he first played for, the Houston Dynamo, in a 1-1 draw Saturday at Red Bull Arena in Harrison, NJ.

De Rosario assisted on a goal by Dane Richards in the 47th minute but, three minutes later, Will Bruin and Tally Hall teamed to help Cam Weaver score the game-tying goal.

The Red Bulls are 1-0-2 with five points and are tied with the New England Revolution for second place in the Eastern Conference standings, one point behind the Philadelphia Union (2-1-0, six points), whom New York faces at PPL Park in Chester, PA next Saturday.

The Dynamo are in last place in the Eastern Conference and last in the league at 0-1-2 with two points and will host the Vancouver Whitecaps next Sunday at Robertson Stadium at the University of Houston.
