Davis Assists Help Dynamo Defeat Whitecaps

Brad Davis assisted on each of the Houston Dynamo's goals Sunday at Robertson Stadium as they beat the Vancouver Whitecaps 3-1 in Major League Soccer action.

Davis first teamed with Bobby Boswell on a Cam Weaver goal in the 37th minute, then worked with Danny Cruz on Boswell's goal in the 42nd minute, and, finally, assisted Will Bruin on his 78th minute goal.

The Dynamo, who were transferred to the Eastern Conference before the start of the 2011 season, are now 1-1-2 with five points and are in a four-way tie for third place in the conference with Toronto FC, the Columbus Crew and the New York Red Bulls. Houston will host the New England Revolution next Sunday.

Vancouver, meanwhile, is 1-2-2 with five points and are in a three-way tie for fourth place in the Western Conference, where Houston once was a part of, with the San Jose Earthquakes and the Seattle Sounders. The Whitecaps will welcome Chivas USA to Empire Field this Saturday.
