The Harrisburg City Islanders of USL PRO announced the signings Thursday of Jason Hotchkin, Brian Ombiji, Morgan Langley and Phil Tuttle for the 2011 season.
Hotchkin had six goals and three assists for the City Islanders in 2010.
He began his professional career in 2004 with the-then USL First Division's Charlotte Eagles, scoring five goals and four assists, then traveled to Germany to play for TuS Koblenz in 2005, then moved to Sweden to play 15 games at IK Brage.
Hotchkin returned to USL in 2006 with the Wilimington Hammerheads, scored two goals and three assists, then moved to playing in the Major Indoor Soccer League from 2006 to 2008 for the Philadelphia Kixx and New Jersey Ironmen.
In the summer of 2008, he came back to the outdoor game with the Cleveland City Stars, leading them to the 2008 USL Second Division Championship, then spent time with the reserve team of Major League Soccer's Columbus Crew.
He came back to the City Stars in 2009 when they promoted themselves to USL-1 before joining the City Islanders last season.
Ombiji is one of three players who were part of Harrisburg's 2007 USL-2 Championship team.
He began his career at age 18 with AFC Leopards in his native Kenya, then moved to the US and graduated from Lindsey Wilson College, where he earned numerous honors, and played summers in the PDL with the Michigan Bucks.
Ombiji turned professional in 2007 with the City Islanders and had 10 goals, five of them game-winners, in two seasons and was named to the USL-1 All-League Second Team before retiring in 2009.
He came back from retirement last season and had one goal in five games for Harrisburg.
Langley led the Swarthmore College Garnet in 2010 with 14 goals and 14 assists and garnered two All-American nods by being selected to the National Soccer Coaches Association of America All-Region First Team and the East Coast Athletic Conference Division III South Region Team, as well as being named Centennial Conference Player of the Year.
He leaves the school as their all-time leader in points (95) and assists (27), with 73 of his points coming in his last two seasons there.
Langley also finished the season ranked in the top ten in assists, assists per game and points per game.
Tuttle was 7-3-2 last season for Notre Dame, starting 11 of13 games and having a 0.71 goals-against average and a .743 save percentage.
In his Fighting Irish career, he was 9-6-2, allowed 16 goals, saved 45 shots and had seven shutouts.
He joined Notre Dame after playing for Brewster Academy in New England where he earned the Coach's Team MVP Award and the Athletic Director's Award for positive and consistent contribution to interscholastic sports. He was also played in the 2005 state prep school all-star game and was named to the prep school all-scholastic soccer team by The Boston Globe.
Harrisburg opens their 2011 USL PRO season at Skyline Sports Complex next Saturday against the Pittsburgh Riverhounds, then travel to Pittsburgh for a rematch April 23.
