For the second time this season, the Harrisburg City Islanders of USL PRO announced Thursday their home opener against the Rochester Rhinos set for the Skyline Sports Complex at City Island Saturday has been postponed due to severe weather that has devastated most of the country.
The Pennsylvania capital's Emergency Operations Center announced they were closing City Island through the weekend, beginning at 6 p.m. Eastern time Thursday.
The City Islanders are looking for an alternate site to play the game but say if they can't find a suitable site, the game will be rescheduled.
Harrisburg's original home season opener April 16 against the Pittsburgh Riverhounds was postponed due to weather and rescheduled for May 31.
